Role & Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Technical department the role will require working closely with production to ensure the highest quality across the product range, and compliance with food safety and legal requirements throughout the site.

  • Ensure products are made to specification and correct policies & procedures are followed during the production process.

  • Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and supporting the Compliance Officer

  • when required.

  • Completing the daily, weekly and monthly scheduled tasks which including scale and probe calibrations, verifying paperwork, microbiological sample submission and filing, clean down verification, temperature checks, supplier and internal non-conformance, customer complaint investigations, glass & plastic audits, and fabrication audits.

  • Supporting the training of staff and verification against CCPs, policies and procedures.

  • To conduct internal GMP audits across departments and conduct hygiene verifications.

  • To support the Quality Control team through training and cover when required.

  • Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager and the Group Head of Technical with external audits.

  • The role will be a mix of factory and office-based work to meet the needs of the

  • business as required.

Qualifications and experience


  • Minimum 1-year experience in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Food safety level 2.

  • Computer literate, particularly Microsoft programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.


  • Experience in a Technical capacity within a high risk or high care food manufacturing environment​.

  • Food safety & HACCP level 3.

  • BRC experience.

  • Knowledge of food safely legislation.
