An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Director to join our established award winning business. You will lead and develop the Finance function of a business that has exciting and ambitious growth plans. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary.
This role will be responsible for day-to-day business management of the business, driving commercial results, assessing income streams and costs and delivering on P&L, cashflow and KPI objectives. Along with Senior Management, the Finance Director will contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
Responsibilities:

SME experience – full end to end financial experience from HMRC reporting (VAT/C.Tax), payroll, management reporting, financial statements, liaising with auditors and banks.

Developing management information and reporting to enable SLT to take business decisions.

Develop the T&A system to best effect to enable tighter control of labour costs through better planning and reporting.

Review and implement new financial controls over supplier and customer on-boarding.

Implementation of new systems; including replacing basic standalone systems currently used for order processing (sales and purchase), stock control, production, forecasting, and finance with a fully integrated ERP system.

Develop the credit control process.

Recruit and develop finance team to fully support the growing needs of the business and partner/upskill the financial understanding of the business functions.

Develop a business plan, budgets, and forecasts with relevant KPIs that can be tracked against.

Assist with developing business stability as it embarks on the next period of growth through the ongoing introduction of business process controls.

Develop business strategy but be prepared to frequently need to get into the detail.

Due diligence; undertake and lead any financial due diligence workstreams for any future transactions including timely coordination of deliverables/requests and data gathering.

Support the Businesses drive for sustainability.
Experience required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Experienced with systems implementation.

Experience with managing debt collection from the public sector and diverse customer base.

Experienced in multi-site manufacturing.
