Sales Ledger focus

The Real Wrap Co are a multi award winning team of sandwich and food-to-go experts on a mission to create great food, sustainably. We are a carbon negative manufacturer and were ranked for the third year running in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100. Our business has doubled in size each year, now producing over 15 million products per year.

We are recruiting for a full time Finance Assistant to start in May 2022 to join our small, supportive Finance team based at our Avonmouth site in Bristol. This role will principally be focused on all areas of Sales Ledger although will enable exposure to all areas of Finance within an SME manufacturing company.

Job Description

  • Setting up new customers and assessing for credit worthiness.

  • Ensuring sales invoices are correctly issued to customers and input onto Sage 50 Accounts.

  • Chasing customers for overdue payments and dealing with any sales invoicing queries.

  • Customer rebate calculation and reconciliation process.

  • Running customer sales reports to support Sales team as required.

  • Drive improvements and controls in the invoicing processes.

  • Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system to be introduced over the next 12 months.

  • Providing holiday cover for finance team on purchase ledger and payroll assistance.

  • Perform month end activities such as nominal account reconciliations.

  • Assist the Finance Manager as necessary with other ad hoc finance duties.

  • Maintenance of filing system ensuring all documents are stored electronically (we are striving towards being paperless).

The successful candidate will

  • Ideally have at least 1 year’s experience working in a finance department.

  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts or at least good aptitude towards financial systems. 

  • Intermediate Excel skills.

  • Have good communication skills and an effective telephone manner with customers.

  • Have excellent attention to detail.

  • Be highly organised with the ability to cope with a range of competing responsibilities and tasks whilst remaining in control.

  • Be able to work to deadlines and prioritise.

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.

This is principally a full time office based role although there can be some flexibility over the timing of hours worked and the possibility of some remote working after passing probation.

  • Receive £23,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending on experience).
